Helper Opportunities

Our helper program trains the next generation of counselors.

They grow as as leaders, team members, and positive role models for campers. Woodbrooke provides orientation and training at the start of the session and ongoing support and nurturing from a Helper Mentor. Helpers have opportunities to observe and learn from experienced counselors and the opportunity to create an individualized plan focused on personal leadership and service goals.

The camp expects helpers to have an interest in working with children and to have had some experience.

Helpers should have the ability to work cooperatively and positively with others of all ages. They should have the independence and maturity to follow through on responsibilities, to be on time, to keep their personal belongings clean and in order, to take proper care of camp supplies/equipment, and to take care of personal health and wellness needs (including going to bed on time).

A Helper must be 15-17 years old (some exceptions apply) and have completed at least one Teen-Trip OR have a referral from someone close to or very familiar with Camp Woodbrooke.

There are no fees associated with being a helper at camp, but you still have to submit a registration.

In addition to registering, please fill out this Session Preference survey

If you have trouble with our online registration or have any other questions, please contact office@campwoodbrooke.org.
