After a very successful year under Camp Woodbrooke, Inc's management,
supporters are now committed to the even bigger, but achievable,
task of making the camp financially stable.
How can you help?
For Camp Woodbrooke to be permanently successful, we need the following:
- $60,000 for the 2008 season. We have purchased the 120 acre camp property! Now we need to raise funds to pay the annual mortgage and provide many scholarships for the campers. Last year, we gave over $20,000 in scholarships which resulted in a very diverse, wonderful camp. This year, we have already received a matching pledge for $22,000 which the donor hopes others will match by the end of January 2008 with smaller (or larger) donations adding up to that $22,000. So your financial help is urgently needed - especially between now and the end of January 2008.
- Financial pledges now for future years. Camp Woodbrooke’s financial stability depends on having a cushion of committed support for several years. The Board is working towards setting up an Endowment Fund to help provide ongoing support. Your support for that will be greatly appreciated.
- Continued increases in camper enrollments. While Camp Woodbrooke is designed to be a small camp, full enrollments not only create an optimal camp atmosphere, but help keep the camp financially healthy. People who learn of Camp Woodbrooke are often excited and surprised to discover such a treasure; we need to enlist everyone’s creativity to let more people know about the camp, to have a maximum number of campers in 2008.
